Christmas Concert on Friday 15 December 2017
Tabernacl Music Society will hold it's Annual Christmas Concert on Friday 15 December 2017 at Capel y Tabernacl, Derwen Road, Bridgend at 7.00pm. This years programme will include two settings of the Te Deumby Karl Jenkins and Charles Villiers Stanford, as well as popular Christmas songs and a selection of Carols.

Summer Concert Sunday July 16 2017
Tabernacl Music Society will hold it's annual Summer Concert on Sunday 16th July at Capel y Tabernacl, Derwen Road, Bridgend at 7.00pm. The Tabernacl Choir and orchestra will be performing 'Nightingales', a work for orchestra and chorus written by their Musical Director, Matthew Nash, set to a poem by English poet, Robert Bridges. 'Nightingales' was composed in 2011 as the final portfolio work for the MA Composition Degree, University of Bristol. The programme also includes, 'Toward The Unknown Region', by Ralph Vaughan Williams and various other pieces. Ticket prices to be announced.Published 02/05/2017
Tabernacl Music Society Christmas Concert with The RAF St Athan Voluntary Band [will be held on Friday 16 December at Capel y Tabernacl, Derwen Road, Bridgend at 7.00pm. The programme includes works by John Rutter, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Malcolm Sargeant and Howard Blake . The choir will also perform two new pieces, written especially for them,
'Newyddion Da' by Kevin Adams(former music director of the choir)and 'Bitter Song' by Richard Logan(who sings with the bass section).

Summer Concert July 10 2016
Tabernacl Music Society are pleased to announce that the annual Summer Concert with Choir and Orchestra will be held on Sunday 10th July at Capel y Tabernacl, Derwen Road, Bridgend at 7.00pm. The program will feature Edward Elgar: The Black Knight, Op 25, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor: Ballad for Orchestra, Malcolm Arnold: Little Suite No.2 and other pieces. Tickets including program are £12, Students £7.50.
The society is very grateful of the financial support for the concert from the Elgar Society and Ty Cerdd
Spring Concert-March 13th
The choir's next concert will take place in Tabernacl Chapel, Derwen Road, on Sunday, March 13th when the choir will perform two main works - Faure's Requiem and John Rutter's Requiem - accompanied on the organ by Glenn Crooks. The choir was very sad to hear that Laura Deenik had reluctantly resigned her position as accompanist with the choir and we wish her well in the future.
However, the choir has been very fortunate to be able to appoint Glenn Crooks as our new accompanist. Glenn is an accomplished accompanist on both piano and organ and we are delighted that he has joined us.
The next choir concert will be on Sunday 27th September 2015 when it will perform Puccini's Messa di Gloria, Gweddi by Arwel Hughes and other miscellaneous works. The soloists are Kerry Bunkhall (soprano) and Rhys Batt (tenor).
The choir will be accompanied by the Tabernacl Orchestra and our accompanist, Laura Deenik.
The concert will commence at 7.30 p.m. and tickets (£10 for adults, £5 for students)are available from choir members or at the door.
May Concert Soloist
The choir is delighted to hear that Charlotte Ellett, a well-known local soprano from Bridgend, will be singing with us in Elgar's "Spirit of England". Charlotte is an experienced performer of the classical repertoire and has sung with the Welsh National Opera and Glyndebourne Operatic companies. The concert will be on Sunday, May 17th at 7.30 p.m; more details are given below under the heading "May Concert".Published 23/04/2015
Come and Sing Day
The choir is holding a Come and Sing Day on Saturday, 21st March 2015 at Tabernacl Chapel, Derwen Road, Bridgend, when we would like to see members of other choirs and new singers join us to sing Fauré’s Requiem and other works. All music will be provided although it would be helpful to bring copies of the Requiem if possible.
Outline of the day:
Morning session: 10am-12.30pm
Afternoon session: 1.30pm-4pm
Short performance: 5pm
There are many cafes in close proximity to the chapel but if participants wish to bring their own refreshments they can use the chapel hall during the morning/lunch/afternoon breaks.

May Concert 2015
The choir’s next concert will be on Sunday, May 17th 2015 at Tabernacl Chapel, Derwen Road, Bridgend when we will perform Elgar’s "Spirit of England” with orchestra, together with other works. The main work by Elgar was written in 1916 and is a stirring setting of three war poems by Laurence Binyon which Elgar dedicated “to the memory of our glorious men". Our soprano soloist will be Charlotte Ellett.
The orchestra will perform Sibelius' "Finlandia" and Malcolm Arnold's "Little Suite" in the second half of the concert while the choir will perform some shorter works including "Locus Iste" by Bruckner and "Tangnefeddwyr" by Eric Jones.
