Established in 1990 as the choir of Tabernacl Welsh Independent Chapel in Bridgend, the choir now includes many choristers from Bridgend and the surrounding areas as well as Tabernacl chapel members. Although Tabernacl is the usual venue for our concerts, we have also performed in other venues around South Wales and in Bordeaux.
The choir is directed by Bristol born Matthew Nash, and our accompanist is Glenn Crooks, originally from Port Talbot. (See About page for full biogs).
We sing a mix of sacred and secular music, and perform at least once a year with a professional orchestra as well as soloists. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evening from 7.00 until 8.45 pm, at Tabernacl Chapel, Derwen Road, Bridgend CF31 1LH and anyone who is interested in joining the choir is most welcome to come along to listen.
We are a friendly group of people who also enjoy social events during the year, and are very happy to welcome singers of all abilities!
